COLOURS OF OUR EMOTIONS......

Pain, anger, deceit, joy, emptiness and loads of other feelings and emotions cloud our minds and bodies through various times in life. I’d like to think that for every emotion we feel there’s a color to it, a color to paint our emotions or rather the colors our emotions paint. So I decided to portray this using make-up rather than a painting, make up is still art so I gave it a try (I’m the model this time :) ).

In Times of Intensity and danger I’d say these feelings paint red and when I think of those feelings, I think love. Love is usually intense, well real love not the plastic one and also dangerous. I see the heart as a glass vase, very delicate and brittle, and it’s tossed around like it’s plastic most times, disregarding the fact that it can break. The feelings we experience when this happens are usually intense.
When I’m happy and extremely excited out of my brains, I think those feelings splash yellow in every corner of me. Over shadowing other feelings with its brightness and having an influence on the people around me. It acts as a form of light.
You know that feeling, when you totally admire yourself, you confidently overlook your flaws and the word beautiful reflects on every mirror you set your eyes on. Well that’s purple. Purple depicts royalty and self-appreciation. We should put the color purple in ourselves often, and embrace the feeling of being our own majesty.
When there’s absolutely nothing to feel or I am confused in which direction to push my emotions, I feel empty and white. White because it’s not a color, it’s a display of blankness. White is a platform for other colors to lay on, therefore a platform for other feelings to evolve. In other words every feeling begins with white.
Death, loneliness, neglect, deceit etc well no other color but black are what these emotions scream. The color black has enormous effect on the color of any other emotions, it has the power to hide and bury the other emotions because the colors along with its feelings are dominant.
Green symbolizes growth and fertility. To me it also symbolizes recovery from depression or dissatisfaction with life. After a horrible situation or issue in life, your recovery is almost as a rebirth, it has a power to pull other colors of emotions out of their shells.

Well these are the colors I feel emotions are, u could match it to some feelings you’ve experienced and if you haven’t felt any of these colors you might want to check your pulse :).

Invisibly Opaque

Embody your skin with dirty dust
Stain her warm white blood
Silently drown her in sinful lust
That she may cry a cold blood

           Your Stone core is stubborn
            Foolishness coats your decisions
            Reality and your world torn
            Unknown are your blind directions

It soothes your bitter heart
To deal with the untrue
Fading Love and hate depart
In difficulty I shall come through

My idea of Art

We come across many moments and events in our lives, some good and some bad and our minds are left to document them. Vivid memories or faint ones you either have one of them or both. There’s something about being able to capture a moment that u can never get to be that exact way. You may take a picture of a persons smile and take it again; it would never be the same. It’s almost a minor way of pausing time to capture a moment.  I have a pretty strong memory of almost anything, even when I try to forget something; it still has its way of lounging in my head.  Art is an amazing way of expressing yourself, the kinds of art you do depict the kind of person you appear to be or more like who you are in your mind…mhmm I know someone who looks gentle and quiet, speaks subtle, very relaxed but when I read her poems, eeek I was shocked or more like freaked out. All her writing was about death, horror, fright and sadness, very…different from her cover. Its amazing how people have the ability to pull out whats on the inside and spill  it on paper, sing, dance or just talk i guess. Anyways before rant too much, just wanted to put this down….my definition of art.

Anonymously known

I have grown up with you
I have been by your side
You have depended on me
Without me
You cannot exist
I can be a bitch
And I can be your best friend
I can heal you
And I can break you
I determine everything
I can make you start and stop
Anything you do
I do not care about your feelings
But I happen to affect them
I can extend your pain
And halt your happiness
You care about me
As much as you despise me
You have to deal with me
You’re stuck with me
All you do is within me
I give you freedom
But I give you limitations
Everyone you know knows me
I have only one friend
He has two hands
A short and long one
I’m sure you know me
I’m called Time.
